I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It featured some little known Charles Dicken's stories (at least by me) eg. Jenny Wren, Pip's Adventure, Little David Copperfield, Little Dombey, Poor Jo!, The Blind Toymaker, The Little Kenwigs, Little Nell, The Runaway Couple, Little Dorrit.

Little Women ticks so many boxes for me -- 19th century lit, American lit, women's lit, and semi-autobiographical. I do enjoy how Alcott repurposes people from her own family as the March sisters, but even more so I love the allegorical implications of the four young women.4/5.
